Horsing Around

Oops. It’s been a while since I posted to this blog. Sorry about that (he says to the 3 people that MIGHT read this.) 🙂

I kid…blogging is something I do because I want to do it. It keeps me accountable and helps me realize just exactly what I’m accomplishing. I finished my first full marathon on November 4 and for a brief few minutes, swore I’d never do it again. I made some mistakes that hurt. Did I learn from them? Damn skippy.

That post will come later. Thanks to everyone who supported me via social media and onsite. It was amazing to cross the finish line (strong) to see so many loved ones waiting for me, cheering me on as “Team Baumann.” I can barely type this without getting a little emotional about it. Some have told me that I inspire them. I think that’s backwards. You inspire ME.

After a bit of horsing around during recovery (I screwed that up) and reassessment, I’m back on that horse. January has been a rebuilding month so far, with less than 30 miles in my running log. That’s intentional. I have more goals for 2013, which include a few 5Ks, a couple of half marathons, and yes, another full marathon.

I hate to leave you hanging, but that’s it for the blog at the moment. I will update this more later. Lots of pictures to share!
